Job description

Staff Tech is seeking a Senior SQL Server Data Architect for a hybrid consulting opportunity in the Sacramento area. This position will focus on database architecture, data integration, reporting, analytics, forecasting, and business intelligence solutions supporting a large-scale operational data environment., * Design and develop SQL Server database solutions.

  • Create logical and physical data models.
  • Design database structures, relationships, indexes, and constraints.
  • Develop and support data integration and ETL processes.
  • Load, transform, validate, and maintain historical and operational data.
  • Develop dashboards, reports, scorecards, and visualizations.
  • Build forecasting and predictive analytics solutions.
  • Gather and document business requirements.
  • Conduct stakeholder meetings and requirements workshops.
  • Develop technical documentation and data dictionaries.
  • Support testing, implementation, training, and knowledge transfer.
  • Implement role-based security and auditing controls.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of SQL Server database architecture and development experience.
  • Strong data modeling and database design experience.
  • Experience with data warehousing and data integration.
  • Experience developing reporting, dashboard, and analytics solutions.
  • Experience with forecasting and performance reporting.
  • Strong SQL query optimization and performance tuning skills.
  • Experience gathering and documenting business requirements.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Skills

  • Utility industry experience.
  • GIS integration experience.
  • Asset management or operational analytics experience.
  • Predictive analytics experience.
  • Python development experience.
  • Executive dashboard and KPI reporting experience.
