Job description

Are you a highly skilled IT professional who thrives on solving complex technical challenges and maintaining mission-critical systems? We are seeking a IT - Systems Analyst to play a vital role in supporting the technology infrastructure that serves Kootenai County.

This is an exciting opportunity to work with cutting-edge technologies while contributing directly to the continuity, security, and efficiency of essential county services., * Administer and maintain enterprise network, server, storage, and virtualization environments.

  • Manage Microsoft Active Directory architecture, security policies, and user access controls.
  • Support VMware and Hyper-V virtualization platforms.
  • Administer Storage Area Networks (SAN), RAID groups, LUN allocation, and shared storage environments.
  • Develop and maintain backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity systems.
  • Research, evaluate, and implement hardware and software solutions.
  • Lead technology projects from planning and design through implementation.
  • Analyze system requirements and develop cost-effective solutions.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex hardware, software, and network issues.
  • Develop technical documentation, operating procedures, and training materials.
  • Assist with cybersecurity policy enforcement and network security initiatives.
  • Support remote connectivity for field personnel and mobile units.
  • Utilize PowerShell scripting to automate and optimize Microsoft environments.
  • Collaborate with vendors and manage equipment lifecycle planning.
  • Participate in budgeting, strategic planning, and technology roadmap development.

Requirements

Do you have experience in Vendor relationship management?, Do you have a Bachelor’s degree?, * Do you have a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or a closely related field from a four-year college or university; or a minimum of eight years of experience and/or training directly related to the development, maintenance and support of enterprise networks, storage and servers?

  • Are you familiar with setup of maintenance of network and server infrastructure?
  • Are you able to write Power Shell scripts?
  • Are you familiar with current cyber-security concepts?

We are looking for candidates that:

  • Have specialized skills in supporting Microsoft based software systems and applications.
  • Can research and implement new or existing systems with little to no oversight.
  • Have great customer service and multi-tasking skills.
  • Have a working knowledge of local government and state of Idaho procedures and protocols.
