Job description

We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Mainframe ADABAS and Natural Developer to join our IT team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on large-scale legacy systems, ensuring their reliability, performance, and ongoing support. As a key contributor, you will design, develop, maintain, and enhance mainframe applications using ADABAS and Natural technologies. Your efforts will directly support critical business operations and enterprise applications while ensuring system stability, security, and efficiency., * Develop, test, implement, and maintain mainframe applications using Natural programming language and ADABAS databases.

  • Analyze business requirements and translate them into technical solutions within the mainframe environment.
  • Maintain and enhance existing mainframe systems, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.
  • Perform system analysis, troubleshooting, debugging, and problem resolution for production and development environments.
  • Support batch processing, online transaction processing, and database maintenance activities.
  • Participate in system upgrades, application enhancements, and data migration projects.
  • Collaborate with business analysts, project managers, and technical teams to deliver high-quality solutions.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation, program specifications, and operational procedures.
  • Perform application testing, code reviews, and quality assurance activities.
  • Support backup, recovery, and disaster recovery processes related to mainframe applications and databases.
  • Ensure compliance with organizational security standards and data integrity requirements.

Requirements

Do you have experience in Windows Server administration?, * Revised Requirements

  • Proven experience developing with ADABAS databases and Natural programming language in a mainframe environment.
  • Strong understanding of mainframe application development and support.
  • Knowledge of operating systems such as Windows and Linux.
  • Familiarity with virtualization technologies such as VMware/ESXi.
  • Understanding of cloud environments such as AWS or Azure.
  • Experience working within SDLC methodologies including Agile environments.
  • Ability to perform system hardening, vulnerability management, and implement security best practices.
  • Proficiency in SQL-based databases including Oracle, MySQL, and PostgreSQL.
  • Strong debugging, troubleshooting, and analytical skills.
  • Knowledge of networking fundamentals including VPNs, firewalls, DNS, DHCP, and load balancing.
  • Experience with system administration across Windows Server and Linux environments.
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills.
