Network Technician

The ILRW Network Technician will develop, plan, and implement an information technology (IT) strategy that meets the business needs, delivers optimal return on investment, and maintains utmost security., · Collaborate with the executive team to identify ways IT can assist the organization in achieving business and financial goals.

· Utilize experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.

· Identifies new Information System developments and technologies; anticipates resulting organizational modifications.

· Ensures that IT and network infrastructure adequately support the organization’s computing, data processing, and communications needs.

· Develop and implement the IT budget.

· Communicates goals, projects, and timelines of the organization to the department; plans ways to execute those goals within the department.

· Establishes long-term IS needs and plans and develops strategies for developing systems and acquiring software and hardware necessary to meet those needs.

· Assists as top-level contact for end users in determining IS requirements and/or solutions.

· Ensures compliance with government regulations that apply to systems operations.

· Design, install, configure, maintain, and support internal infrastructure systems, applications, security, and network configurations.

· Troubleshoot network, server, and system performance issues.

· Create and maintain disaster recovery plans.

· Recommend upgrades, patches, new applications, and equipment.

· Provide technical support and guidance to users.

· Demonstrate a wide degree of creativity, latitude, and time management skills to execute projects and accomplish department and organization goals.

· Performs other related duties as assigned.

Do you have a valid Driver’s License license?, Do you have experience in Time management?, Do you have a Bachelor’s degree?, The Network Technician should possess these skills and/or competencies in order to perform these essential functions for the organization.

· Remote Desktop Services

· Backup and recovery

· Cybersecurity best practices

· FortiGate firewall programming

· Site to site VPN management

· Site to multisite VPN management

· SCADA system administration & programming

· Strong troubleshooting skills to fix unknown issues

Physical Requirements

· Licenses/Certifications: Must possess a valid driver’s license with a good driving record. This position requires Driver remain insurable under the Organization’s coverage.

· Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer, as well as in a vehicle.

· Walking on uneven surfaces.

· Capable of being in various weather elements for long periods of time.

· Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times., At least 5 years of experience in administration of information systems and technology, with increasing level of responsibility throughout., Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, or Information Technology preferred. Two year degree in technology required, relatable work experience may substitute for degree.
