Job description

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Perl Developer to join our dynamic software development team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining robust Perl-based applications and services that support our business operations. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on complex systems, integrate diverse technologies, and contribute to innovative solutions that enhance our platform’s performance and scalability. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in software development principles, with a focus on Perl programming, and demonstrate proficiency in modern web and application development frameworks., * Develop, test, and deploy high-quality Perl scripts and applications to meet project requirements.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design scalable solutions utilizing microservices architecture.
  • Integrate Perl applications with various databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and Microsoft SQL Server.
  • Implement RESTful APIs and web services to facilitate seamless data exchange across platforms.
  • Optimize application performance through effective debugging, code refactoring, and multithreading techniques.
  • Maintain version control using tools such as GitHub, SVN, or TFS; ensure adherence to SDLC best practices.
  • Participate in code reviews, documentation, and unit testing to uphold quality standards.
  • Work within Agile development environments to deliver iterative improvements efficiently.
  • Support deployment processes using CI/CD pipelines on cloud platforms like AWS or Azure.
  • Troubleshoot issues related to IIS, Apache, or other web servers; ensure system security and stability.

Requirements

Do you have experience in Microservices?, * Proven experience in software development with a focus on Perl programming language.

  • Strong knowledge of web development frameworks including React, Angular, Node.js, or Ruby on Rails.
  • Familiarity with front-end technologies such as HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, TypeScript, Bootstrap, and UI/UX principles.
  • Hands-on experience with database design and management using SQL (T-SQL), PL/SQL, MongoDB, or NoSQL databases.
  • Knowledge of application development methodologies including Agile/Scrum; familiarity with SDLC processes.
  • Experience working with cloud services such as AWS or Azure for deployment and scaling applications.
  • Proficiency in using IDEs like Visual Studio or Eclipse for coding and debugging.
  • Understanding of web protocols including SOAP, RESTful APIs, XML, JSON, WCF services.
  • Ability to perform debugging effectively across multiple platforms; strong problem-solving skills.
  • Exposure to containerization tools like Docker is a plus; familiarity with microservices architecture is desirable.
