Job description
AcqCentric is looking for a Senior Systems Engineer to join our team! This role will serve as a lead Subject Matter Expert for THAAD weapon system requirements., * Serve as the primary SME for THAAD system requirements, ensuring alignment with MDA’s strategic goals and operational needs
- Proficiently navigate and manage the MDA’s requirements processes, including development, documentation, and validation of system requirements
- Lead and participate in requirements working groups, Integrated Product Teams (IPTs), Engineering Technical Reviews, and review boards to ensure that THAAD system capabilities meet both current and anticipated future mission needs
- Analyze system performance data to provide recommendations for system enhancements, performance improvements, and capability upgrades
- Coordinate with various project stakeholders to integrate system requirements into design, development, testing, and deployment phases
- Review and contribute to technical documentation, including but not limited to Element Specifications, System Requirements Documents (SRDs), Interface Control Documents (ICDs), and other system engineering artifacts
- Mentor junior engineers in the nuances of MDA’s requirements processes and THAAD system processes
- Represent the THAAD Project Office in meetings with MDA leadership, FMS customers, or other relevant parties as directed
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of processes and agile methodologies for managing system requirements
Requirements
Do you have experience in Technical writing within technology?, Do you have a Master’s degree in engineering?, * Master’s degree in Engineering (STEM) and 12+ years of relevant MDS experience, including specific THAAD Weapon System experience
- Active Secret clearance
- Demonstrated expertise in systems engineering, particularly in requirements development, management, and validation
- Expertise in working with the MDA’s acquisition and requirements management processes
- In-depth understanding of the THAAD Weapon System configuration and functionality
- Strong knowledge of missile defense systems integration and requirements decomposition, including interface management and system interoperability
- Proficiency in using software tools for requirements management (e.g., DOORS)
- Familiarity with MDA’s Acquisition Systems Engineering and Acquisition Management procedures
- Ability to build technical briefing packages and present to senior leadership
- Willingness to travel as required (approximately 25%) to support project needs, including visits to prime contractor facilities, test ranges, and foreign weapon site locations, * Excellent analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, capable of interfacing effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, dynamic environment while also contributing to a team-oriented culture
- Must be adept at using Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Project
