Job description
The Production Systems Coordinator is responsible for supporting the implementation, deployment, and ongoing operation of manufacturing processes within Sage 100 and related shop-floor systems. This hands-on role serves as the primary liaison between production, inventory control, planning, warehouse operations, and system administration to ensure accurate manufacturing data, transaction processing, and workflow execution., The position combines manufacturing operations knowledge with ERP proficiency, requiring active participation on the production floor while maintaining system integrity through accurate transaction processing, scanner-based inventory control, and user support. This role does not have direct supervisory responsibility but plays a critical role in the successful adoption and execution of manufacturing processes and system improvements., Manufacturing System Implementation & Support
- Support the implementation, configuration, testing, and rollout of Sage 100 manufacturing modules and related production processes.
- Assist with the development and maintenance of bills of material (BOMs), routings, work centers, labor standards, and production reporting requirements.
- Participate in user acceptance testing (UAT), process validation, and troubleshooting during system implementations and upgrades.
- Document manufacturing workflows, procedures, and transaction processes.
- Provide hands-on support and training to production personnel on Sage 100 transactions, scanner usage, and manufacturing procedures.
- Identify opportunities to improve manufacturing workflows, inventory accuracy, and system utilization.
Production Coordination
- Release, monitor, and close manufacturing work orders within Sage 100.
- Coordinate daily production activities to ensure materials, labor, and resources are available to meet production schedules.
- Monitor production status and communicate issues, delays, shortages, and schedule impacts to appropriate stakeholders.
- Assist in resolving production reporting discrepancies and transaction errors.
Inventory Operations
- Maintain accurate inventory records through transaction audits, cycle count support, and reconciliation activities.
- Investigate inventory variances and implement corrective actions to improve accuracy.
- Coordinate material movement between warehouse, staging, and production areas.
Data Integrity & Reporting
- Maintain accurate manufacturing master data, including item records, BOMs, routings, and work order information.
- Ensure timely and accurate transaction processing to support inventory control, costing, scheduling, and production reporting.
- Generate and analyze operational reports related to production performance, inventory accuracy, and work order status.
- Collaborate with accounting, operations, and management teams to resolve system and transaction discrepancies., Key Success Metrics

Work Environment
- Combination of office, warehouse, and production floor responsibilities.
- Frequent interaction with production personnel, inventory control, planning, and operations teams.
- Regular use of ERP systems, handheld scanners, and manufacturing reporting tools.
- Ability to walk production areas and occasionally lift materials up to 25 pounds.
Requirements
Do you have experience in Spreadsheets?, Do you have a Associate’s degree?, * Associate degree or equivalent experience in Manufacturing, Operations, Supply Chain, Business Systems, or related field.
- 3+ years of manufacturing, production coordination, inventory control, or ERP support experience.
- Experience with barcode scanners, inventory transactions, and shop-floor data collection processes.
- Understanding of manufacturing workflows, work orders, BOMs, routings, inventory control, and production reporting.
- Strong Microsoft Excel and reporting skills.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
Preferred
- Experience implementing or supporting ERP manufacturing modules.
- Knowledge of Sage 100 Manufacturing, Work Order Processing, Bill of Materials, and Inventory Management modules.
- Experience with data migration, system testing, user training, and process documentation.
- Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Experience supporting manufacturing software integrations and shop-floor automation tools.
