ATP (Acceptance Test Procedure) Technician

Matern Staffing is hiring an ATP (Acceptance Test Procedure) Technician for a defense technology company in Stafford, VA.

In this hands-on role, you’ll test and validate loitering munition systems, ensuring that every system meets strict operational and quality standards.

As an ATP Technician, you’ll use your strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and technical expertise to troubleshoot complex systems, collaborate with engineers, and ensure mission-critical products operate flawlessly.

This is a direct hire role requiring applicants to live within a 30-minute commute of the Stafford office. U.S. citizenship and international travel availability are required due to client/government contract requirements., * Conduct functional and performance testing of Hero loitering munitions

• Test electronic and mechanical components in a controlled environment
• Collaborate with engineers and production teams to troubleshoot and resolve system issues
• Inspect and verify the calibration and proper functioning of test equipment
• Document test results and analyze data to ensure product compliance and reliability
• Recommend improvements to testing processes and support quality control efforts
• Document system and test specifications
• Travel to vendors or production sites as needed for integration testing

Do you have experience in Troubleshooting electrical systems?, Do you have a Associate’s degree?, * Associate’s degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience

• 3+ years in ATP or testing technician roles, ideally in defense, aerospace, or high-tech manufacturing
• Strong knowledge of electro-mechanical systems and test procedures
• Proficiency with electronic test equipment and troubleshooting complex systems
• Ability to interpret technical manuals, schematics, and drawings
• Attention to detail, problem solving skills, commitment to quality, and strong team collaboration
• Preferred: Defense or military-grade system experience, loitering munition testing familiarity
