The ideal candidate will be a Software Developer in design, development, coding, testing, and debugging new software or providing complex enhancements to existing software. Works with technical staff to understand and to develop resolution of software operational and transformational activities. Successful candidate will have experience with multiple languages (including Java, Python, Ruby) and web frameworks (including Spring and Rails) as well as big data systems., + Modernizes legacy Java, Python, and Ruby code as part of the migration to a cloud-based computing environment.

• Designs, implements, and maintains Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions using tools like Terraform to automate provisioning, improve scalability, and ensure environment consistency across development, staging, and production.

• Must be comfortable working with software developers to identify and resolve defects.

• Experience working with GitHub, Jira and Confluence.

• Assists with the transition of existing batch processing systems to a near-real time streaming pipeline.

• Maintains current knowledge of relevant technology as assigned.

• Identifies and resolves complex hardware/software interface issues.

• Test and document performance benchmarks and metrics for developed software.

• Designs and implements cloud-native data processing capabilities using tools such as Hadoop, Hive, and other big data software.

• Supports the design and development of a large scale structured search system

• Works with a cross functional team of developers, QA, DevOps, and security to develop, deliver, and sustain a complex production system.

Debugging,Development Design,Software Coding,Testing, 10 + years of related experience, + 10+ years of software development experience including full stack development

• Proficiency in a range of technologies including Java, JavaScript, SpringBoot, Python, Angular, and SQL

• Experience designing, developing, and integrating REST API services

• Experience with Linux-based systems and shell scripting.

• Experience developing web applications, including familiarity with frontend JavaScript.

• Strong knowledge of AWS platform and development tools.

• Experience analyzing large volumes of complex structured and unstructured data.

• Expertise in Elasticsearch

DESIRED SKILLS:

• Experience with containerization using Docker and/or Kubernetes

• Background in DevOps practices and ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes

• Familiarity with AI, AI/ML, and experience integrating with Large Language Models (LLMs) and other AI related services

The likely salary range for this position is $164,382 - $214,921. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
