Job description

  • Serve as a primary developer for SourceBoardÂŽ - our AI-powered procurement and sourcing platform for the Defense Industrial Base

  • Design and manage agentic AI workflows that complete structured, real-world tasks end-to-end

  • Orchestrate multi-model, multi-agent, multi-API systems that actually ship

  • Turn AI-generated code and workflows into clean, tested, maintainable production systems - no cowboy code

  • Build internal tools, dashboards, automations, and client-facing applications across the full stack

  • Own the full pipeline: front-end * APIs * databases * authentication * deployment

  • Support prompt engineering, tool routing, agent task planning, and AI output validation

  • Deploy and manage applications across Vercel, Netlify, AWS, and Azure - including future GovCloud environments

  • Work with Supabase, Neon, Firebase, and Clerk for back-end and auth infrastructure

  • Help architect systems built for security, scale, and government-regulated workloads

WHAT WE’RE BUILDING WITH

AI Development & Orchestration Tools:

Claude Code, OpenAI Codex, Cursor, MCP-Based Workflows, AI Coding Agents, Multi-Tool AI Systems, Prompt Orchestration, API-Connected AI, Agentic Debugging

Core AI Competencies You’ll Work With:

  • Generative AI & agentic AI architecture

  • AI orchestration across models, agents, and APIs

  • Prompt engineering and workflow design

  • Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) concepts

  • Multi-agent workflows and tool calling

  • Human-in-the-loop review and AI output validation

TECHNICAL TOOLS, PLATFORMS AND INFRASTRUCTURE

You don’t need to be an expert in every tool below - but you need to know how they fit together and how to move fast inside AI-assisted development environments.

JavaScript, TypeScript, Python, Node.js, React, Next.js, HTML/CSS, SQL, REST & GraphQL, Bash/Shell, Git & GitHub, API Development, Supabase, Neon, Firebase, AWS/GovCloud, Vercel, Netlify, Azure, Doppler, Clerk, Payload CMS, GitHub, Auth & RBAC

WHAT YOU’LL ACTUALLY BUILD

Your primary mission is SourceBoard® - a platform handling procurement, sourcing, bid opportunities, and supplier workflows for defense contractors. Beyond that, you’ll touch:

  • AI workflow orchestration systems and automation engines

  • Client portals, data dashboards, and proposal tracking tools

  • Government contracting support and compliance tooling

  • Supplier and buyer workflow platforms

  • Internal business intelligence apps and operations tools

YOU’RE THE ONE IF…

  • You understand generative AI, agentic AI, and orchestration - not just as buzzwords, but as real engineering disciplines

  • You can use AI tools to build complete applications, not just generate isolated code snippets

  • You can move fast without sacrificing structure, security, or long-term maintainability

  • You know how to evaluate, clean up, and harden AI-generated code before it touches production

  • You’re comfortable connecting tools, models, APIs, databases, and workflows into unified systems

  • You’re organized, detail-oriented, and thrive with ownership - not just task lists

  • Defense, procurement, government contracting, or secure cloud environments genuinely interest you

  • You want to grow into a key technical role at an AI company doing something that matters

Requirements

Do you have experience in Software engineering?, Do you have a Master’s degree?, * Full-time availability, in office in Endicott, NY

  • Strong understanding of modern web application development

  • Hands-on familiarity with generative AI, agentic AI, and AI orchestration concepts

  • Ability to work with AI coding tools responsibly - not just recklessly

  • Strong communication, documentation, and problem-solving habits

  • Comfort operating across multiple platforms, tools, and evolving requirements

  • Masters Degree in Computer Science or similar/related Degree field

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE

  • Building SaaS platforms, marketplaces, dashboards, portals, or business tools

  • Using generative AI tools - agents, orchestrators, coding assistants - for real software development

  • Cloud deployment and database-connected application architecture

  • Authentication, role-based access, subscriptions, payments, and user portals

  • Secure development practices and regulated or government-facing environments

  • Procurement, sourcing, supplier management, or B2B software (a major plus)

About the company

CoExcel Solutions is a woman-owned small business at the intersection of defense procurement, AI, and supply chain intelligence. We don’t just talk about the AI-powered future - we’re building it, right now, in Endicott, NY.

SourceBoardÂŽ is our flagship platform: an AI-powered source-to-pay intelligence engine purpose-built for the Defense Industrial Base. This is where contracts get awarded, suppliers get discovered, and partnerships happen - all through an AI-first lens.

We’re looking for a Generative AI & Orchestration Developer to join us as a core technical builder. If you’re energized by working at the bleeding edge of AI-driven development - orchestrating agents, connecting models to real-world workflows, and turning raw AI output into polished production systems - this is the role for you.

This is NOT your average developer job.

This is not a “vibe coding” role where you prompt an AI and ship whatever it spits out. You’ll understand the code, the architecture, the agents, and the orchestration layer - and you’ll take full ownership of turning AI-generated output into reliable, production-grade software that operates in defense and government environments.
