Job description

The Database Technical Lead is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining enterprise-grade data solutions that support our Business Units’ reporting needs. This role combines deep hands-on expertise in Microsoft SQL Server technologies with technical leadership and mentorship responsibilities., This position focuses on building reliable, high-performing, and scalable solutions using T-SQL and SSIS, translating business requirements into technical designs, and ensuring data solutions align with enterprise standards. The Technical Lead works closely with application development teams, architects, and business partners to deliver consistent and maintainable solutions. This individual also serves as a technical leader for data-focused development efforts and provides guidance to other DBAs and database developers., * Lead the design, development, and support of SQL Server-based solutions, including complex stored procedures, functions, views, and SSIS packages.

  • Design and support data integration and ETL processes that feed internal Data Warehouse platforms
  • Ensure database and SSIS solutions meet performance, reliability, and scalability requirements.
  • Translate business requirements into technical designs and implementation plans for data and integration components.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to SQL database developers.
  • Establish and enforce development standards, best practices, and reusable patterns for T-SQL and SSIS solutions.
  • Participate in architecture discussions, offering data-centric guidance on solution design and system integration.
  • Support secure data handling practices, including data protection and compliance requirements.
  • Review designs and code to ensure adherence to development standards and best practices.

Requirements

  • 4-6 years of experience designing and building solutions using Microsoft SQL Server, with strong hands-on expertise in T-SQL and SSIS within an enterprise environment.
  • Proven experience serving as a technical lead, senior developer, or mentor, with the ability to guide and influence other developers.
  • Strong background in database design, data modeling, and integration architecture.
  • Proven ability to design maintainable, reusable, and well-documented database and SSIS solutions.
  • Solid problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex data and performance issues.
  • Familiarity with application development concepts and the ability to collaborate effectively with non-database developers.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Willingness to continuously learn, adapt, and contribute to the success of the organization.

  • Must reside within the market area to be considered.

*Position requires a minimum of 3 years of relevant US based experience.
