Job description

  • Implement and maintain security controls across endpoint, network, cloud, identity, and application environments.
  • Monitor, investigate, and respond to security alerts and incidents while driving remediation efforts.
  • Develop and enhance detection capabilities within the SIEM, including alert tuning, threat hunting, and automated response workflows.
  • Support vulnerability management initiatives, including scanning, prioritization, and remediation tracking.
  • Administer and improve identity security controls, including MFA, conditional access, and device management.
  • Partner with infrastructure, network, and application teams to incorporate security into system design and deployment activities.
  • Assist with compliance and governance efforts, including PCI DSS and security framework alignment.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of cybersecurity or information security experience.
  • Experience supporting security operations, incident response, and threat detection activities.
  • Hands-on experience with SIEM platforms and security monitoring tools.
  • Knowledge of cloud and identity security concepts, including MFA, conditional access, and access management.
  • Experience with vulnerability management and remediation processes.
  • Ability to automate tasks using scripting languages such as PowerShell or Python.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate across technical and business teams., * Experience with endpoint detection and response (EDR) platforms.
  • Exposure to next-generation firewalls, Zero Trust architecture, and secure web gateway technologies.
  • Experience supporting Microsoft 365 security environments.
  • Knowledge of PCI DSS or other regulatory compliance frameworks.
  • Security certifications such as CISSP, CCSP, GCIH, GPEN, or similar.
  • Experience in large multi-location environments is critical.

Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without current or future sponsorship.

The job location is in Houston, candidate must be able to go onsite in Houston without relocation assistance. Client is looking to hire full-time direct hire only, no 3rd party or consulting will be considered.
