Job description
The Senior Systems/Server Administrator is responsible for supporting and modernizing the IT infrastructure as part of an ongoing Legacy Modernization initiative. This role will be responsible for maintaining and upgrading a Microsoft-based enterprise environment, including physical and virtual servers, storage systems, backup solutions, security certificates, licensing, and identity management. The administrator will work closely with the Information Resources team to ensure system reliability, security, and operational efficiency while supporting both on-premises and cloud-based technologies., A key focus of the position is assisting with strategic infrastructure projects, including migrating on-premises Microsoft Exchange to Microsoft 365 and analyzing, restructuring, and administering Active Directory. The role also provides support for network-related technologies, including firewalls, SIEM solutions, switches, and wireless infrastructure, as well as documentation, user administration, and help desk support. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in Windows Server environments, Active Directory, IAM, Microsoft 365 technologies, and enterprise systems administration within a collaborative team environment., Minimum of 10 Years of experience supporting Microsoft Operating Systems environments as an IT Systems / Server Administrator.
Requirements
Experience in the implementation and support of Active Directory Domains, Dell Storage Solutions, VMware environments, Exchange, M365 environments, and backup solutions.

Experience communicating and providing direct technical support to agency Business units and Stakeholders.

Extensive experience providing all aspects of configuration and end-user support for Microsoft Office 365 applications.

Experience in managing user accounts and network configurations as required to provide services to meet the business and technical requirements.

Experience in completing assessments to develop strategic recommendations and roadmaps.
