Job description

The Data Solutions Analyst provides a crucial role in helping the NU System achieve the vision of making actionable data accessible to users across the system. This position also functions as a technical expert in building data repositories to support institutional reporting needs. This position works to understand and communicate technical/functional information to both technical and non-technical audiences. This position offices in Lincoln, Nebraska.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree

3 years experience modeling data from a source system into a usable format for reporting which includes demonstrated experience with Microsoft SQL Server database administration for a data warehouse environment, SQL query writing, and schema design.

Excellent oral and written communication skills with attention to detail

Equivalent combination of education and experience, that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities may be considered

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in Higher Education.

Demonstrated experience interpreting data for targeted strategic purposes.

Demonstrated experience with data visualization tools

This individual will be adept with high volume, complex data sets, has strong interpersonal communication skills, demonstrates problem solving skills, time management skills, and can function in an environment that has competing priorities with flexibility to adjust to change.
