Senior Software Engineer

Duties: Design software solutions for business requirements, conduct review of those designs, and hand off design to development team. Resolve development issues and provide coding guidance to software developers. Manage code deployment through development, test and production environments. Conduct security reviews to make sure code meets standards. Standardize the quality assurance procedure for software. Oversee testing and debugging and develop fixes. Research complaints and makes necessary adjustments or recommendations to resolve complex software related issues. 100% telecommuting permitted within the U.S

4 years of experience in Software Development or related occupation.

Bachelor’s degree in Electronics Engineering, Computer Science, or related field., This position requires a Bachelor’s degree in Electronics Engineering, Computer Science, or related field plus 4 years of experience in Software Development or related occupation.

This position requires 4 years of experience with each of the following: *Working with business to understand business requirements necessary for development of software solutions; *Creating design documents using Microsoft Word and Lucid; *COBOL mainframe coding for batch and online screens; and *Resolving defect issues using qTest to track and update status.

This position requires 2 years of experience with CICS, MQ, ISPW, DB2, SQL, VSAM, and JCL.

This position requires any amount of experience with Quickjob, Easytrieve, and REXX.
