Software Engineer

We are seeking a Software Engineer to support the development of next-generation Sea Vehicle products. This role offers the opportunity to work on cutting-edge technologies across the full product lifecycle, from concept development through integration and testing.

You will collaborate with a multi-functional engineering team to design and develop software at the component, subsystem, and system levels, with a focus on embedded control systems and operator interfaces., + Develop software solutions for technical challenges of moderate complexity across current and next-generation platforms

• Strong programming experience with:

• C++ (primary)

• Embedded C / C

• Experience developing embedded software systems

• Familiarity with Linux/Unix-based development environments

• Solid understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP), OOA, and OOD

• Basic experience with shell scripting

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field with 2+ years of experience

• OR Master’s degree in a related field

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with Java programming

• Familiarity with network, serial, or CAN interface development

• Exposure to configuration management tools (Git, Mercurial)

• Experience with Jira or similar issue tracking tools

• Exposure to frontend technologies, such as:

• JavaScript / TypeScript

• CSS

• REST APIs

• SQL or NoSQL databases

• Web UI development

This is a Contract position based out of Hunt Valley, MD.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $90.00/hr.
