Job description

Performs activities required to implement, install, support, maintain, patch, troubleshoot, and upgrade software in cloud and data center infrastructure systems and environments, on specific operating systems, utilities, and enterprise applications., 1. Assists with the deployment of new cloud and data center infrastructure solutions, operating software, or projects to upgrade existing software.

  1. Ensures that new systems meet enterprise specifications, function properly, and are installed with minimum user disruption.
  2. Complies with enterprise standards, maintains current standards, procedures, and documentation, and develops procedures to incorporate new or changed software.
  3. Provides user support and education.
  4. Conducts performance studies to monitor efficiency.
  5. Participates in hardware and software feasibility studies.
  6. Documents corrective procedures
  7. Maintains the technical library.
  8. Performs related duties as required or assigned.

Requirements

  • Any combination of education and experience equivalent to a bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field.
  • Four (4) years of experience in developing, implementing, and maintaining cloud and data center infrastructure environments, computer operating software systems, one (1) year of which shall have been in enterprise software.
  • Advanced degree(s) beyond the minimum degree requirement in a relevant field may be considered for some experience.
  • Knowledge of the principles and practices of systems programming, cloud and data center infrastructure management.
  • Ability to ensure that systems meet operating and functionality requirements.
  • Ability to conduct evaluative studies, solve complex problems, and design and install solutions.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
