SAP Data Migration Consultant

Our customer is supporting an SAP program for their end client. They are looking to bring on a new resource who is comfortable/experienced working with S4 Customer Hierarchy transactions. Duration: Initially ~6 months with strong possibility of extension (multi-year program) Start Timing: Looking to begin ASAP 1. What is the overall scope of the project? Global upgrade from client s ECC instances to S4/HANA.

1. What is the current stage of the project? Conducting UAT now for their initial cluster go-live scheduled in August (APAC region)
2. What are upcoming milestones? UAT, Dress Rehearsal, with Cluster 1 Go-Live in August Cluster 2 will be early 2027
3. What does success look like in this role at the 6 month mark in this engagement? (What would you/your customer expect this consultant to have achieved?) - Client wants a do-er who is comfortable working in their Customer SAP environment, specifically with hierarchy transactions - Client has domain functional knowledge but want someone who can help drive forward activities & testing scenarios within SAP S4 itself. They re lacking on the technical front for this role. Description of Skillsets Required Core SAP Knowledge o Deep functional and technical understanding of SAP ECC and S4/HANA Customer Master Data (Account Groups, Partner Functions, Customer Classifications) o Proficient in Customer Hierarchy configuration and maintenance, including hierarchy categories, assignment rules, and pricing/reporting implications o Familiar with the end-to-end Order-to-Cash (O2C) process and how customer data flows across SD, FI, and MM modules Key Transaction Codes (T-Codes) o Customer Master: XD01/XD02/XD03, VD01/VD02/VD03, FD01/FD02/FD03 o Customer Hierarchy: VDH1/VDH1N, VDH2/VDH2N o Partner Functions & Account Groups: VOPA, OVT0 o Pricing & Output: VK11/VK12, V/08 o Table Browser & Debugging: SE16/SE16N, SE11, SM30, ST05 Table Relationships & Data Structures o Solid understanding of key SAP customer tables: KNA1 (General Data), KNB1 (Company Code), KNVV (Sales Area), KNVH (Hierarchy), KNVP (Partner Functions), KNVK (Contact Persons) o Ability to trace data relationships across customer master, sales documents (VBAK/VBAP), and billing (VBRK/VBRP)

o Deep functional and technical understanding of SAP ECC and S4/HANA Customer Master Data (Account Groups, Partner Functions, Customer Classifications) o Proficient in Customer Hierarchy configuration and maintenance, including hierarchy categories, assignment rules, and pricing/reporting implications o Familiar with the end-to-end Order-to-Cash (O2C) process and how customer data flows across SD, FI, and MM modules, o Experience with joins and dependencies between customer-related tables for data analysis, reporting, or troubleshooting Technical Documentation Skills o Able to write clear functional and technical specifications (Functional Specs, Tech Specs, BRDs) for ABAP developers and business stakeholders o Experience documenting configuration, data models, and process flows using tools such as Visio, Confluence, or similar o Comfortable translating business requirements into technical language and vice versa Preferred Experience o Hands-on experience with SAP S4/HANA migrations, particularly customer master data conversion and cleansing o Familiarity with LSMW, BAPI, or IDocs for customer data loads and interfaces o Exposure to SAP MDG (Master Data Governance) for customer domain is a plus o Experience working in Agile or hybrid project environments alongside ABAP developers and functional consultants.
