Develop and enhance backend services using modern TypeScript runtimes, focusing on performance and reliabilityWork across the full platform stack, including infrastructure, databases, and application layersImprove and extend an existing system, supporting ongoing product and commercial roadmap deliveryOptimise data access patterns and database interactions within a high-concurrency environmentImplement and refine caching strategies to maintain performance at scaleContribute to mobile and front-end layers when needed, particularly around feature deliveryOwn deployments, environments, and system behaviour across containerised infrastructureStrengthen CI/CD pipelines, testing coverage, and release processesEnsure robust security practices across application and data layersCollaborate closely with product and commercial teams to enable real-time features and integrationsContinuously enhance system observability, performance monitoring, and developer tooling

5-9 years’ experience in software engineering, with a strong backend/platform biasDeep expertise in TypeScript and experience building scalable backend services (Node, Bun, or similar)Solid experience working with relational databases and ORM-based data access patternsPractical knowledge of caching technologies such as Redis in production environmentsExposure to infrastructure and deployment workflows (Docker, cloud platforms, or similar)Exposure to observability tooling or distributed system monitoringExperience contributing to production systems in high-growth or high-traffic environmentsAbility to work independently, take ownership, and contribute without heavy oversightStrong systems thinking - understanding how changes impact performance, scalability, and reliability(Preferred) Experience in payments, gaming, or regulated digital platforms(Preferred) Interest or experience in applying AI tools to improve engineering workflows ..
