Job SummaryWe are seeking an experienced PowerServer Engineer to support audit, investigation, and strategic planning activities related to our existing PowerBuilder/PowerServer applications. The ideal candidate will assess current systems, identify gaps, and provide actionable recommendations for optimization, modernization, or migration . Key ResponsibilitiesPerform comprehensive audit and assessment of existing PowerServer/PowerBuilder applicationsConduct root cause analysis and investigations for performance, stability, and scalability issuesAnalyze application architecture, deployment setup, and integration workflowsIdentify technical risks, inefficiencies, and improvement opportunitiesPrepare detailed assessment reports, findings, and recommendationsCollaborate with stakeholders to define modernization or migration strategyCreate roadmaps and implementation plans for future upgrades or enhancementsProvide guidance on best practices, security, and performance optimizationSupport decision-making through technical insights and feasibility analys is Required Skills & QualificationsStrong experience with PowerBuilder and PowerServerProven experience in application auditing, system analysis, or consulting rolesSolid understanding of client-server and web-based architecturesExperience in performance tuning and troubleshootingKnowledge of database systems (SQL Server, Oracle, etc.)Ability to analyze legacy systems and recommend modernization approachesStrong documentation and reporting skillsExcellent problem-solving and analytical abilit ies Preferred SkillsExperience with application migration (on-prem to cloud or web)Familiarity with Appeon PowerServerExposure to cloud platforms (Azure/AWS)Knowledge of security and compliance standardsPrior consulting or advisory experienceDeliverables ExpectedSystem audit reportRisk and gap analysisRecommendations for improvement/modernizationStrategic roadmap and execution plan
