Job description
- Twenty (20) years of experience as a Software Engineer (SWE) supporting programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity., * Develop UI design specifications and support documentation (e.g., wireframes, mockups, interaction behaviors, and design guidelines), as needed to support development efforts.
- Collaborate with product designers and process engineers to inform application design and ensure user-centered solutions align with workflows and requirements.
- Conduct accessibility and 508 compliance testing to ensure user interfaces meet regulatory and usability standards.
- Collect and analyze user feedback through surveys and behavioral data to guide design improvements and UX decisions.
- Work independently while collaborating effectively with small teams and larger cross-functional groups.
- Create interactive prototypes to validate design concepts and communicate interactions to stakeholders and development teams.
Requirements
The Software Engineer, shall have at least the following experience, * Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related discipline from an accredited college or university. Note: Four (4) additional years of SWE experience on projects with similar software processes may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree.
- Five (5) years of experience with a strong background in user-centered design, UI best practices, usability testing, and the software development lifecycle (analysis, design, implementation, and deployment).
- Demonstrate working knowledge of Linux, CSS, JavaScript, and HTML to support UI design, troubleshoot design-related issues, and collaborate with development teams.
- Work closely with users (analysts) to research, develop, and document user profiles and user performance requirements.
- Conduct task analysis and workflow mapping and develop and test user scenarios., * UI/UX experience
- 508 Compliance
- TS/SCI clearance with polygraph clearance required
