Job description

Insight Global seeks a Senior Software Engineer to support a growing fintech customer Austin, TX. You will play a vital role in creating and supporting key systems including the client identity and access management (CIAM) system and client asynchronous event delivery system. Your day-to-day activities may involve collaborative system design and development, providing mentorship to peers, leading coding sessions, and exploring innovative technologies. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with a team of experienced developers in building robust, high-volume, and high-availability platform systems that drive this client’s ecosystem and modern investment applications forward. Key responsibilities include:

-Build & Deliver Software: Design, develop, and deploy scalable, reliable services end-to-end.

-Support Production: Manage deployments, monitor systems, and maintain uptime.

-Ensure Code Quality: Write well-tested code and enforce high standards through reviews.

-Document Clearly: Keep technical documentation accurate and easy to follow.

-Collaborate Cross-Functionally: Work with product and engineering teams to deliver solutions.

-Troubleshoot Issues: Resolve technical problems and prevent future incidents.

-Continuous Improvement: Stay current on industry trends and apply them to enhance processes.

Requirements

Strong hands on development experience in Go

-7+ years of hands-on software development experience, preferably in high-availability, high-performance systems

-Strong experience with IAM, authentication, and identity protocols (OIDC, OAuth, tokenization, etc.)

-Experience working within the confines of an access control model (RBAC, RuBAC)

-Experience with distributed systems, event-driven architectures, or queuing systems such as Kafka

-Experience working within cloud-native (AWS, GCP) environments.

-Strong familiarity with Kubernetes for deployment and debugging workflows -Familiarity with access management techniques for Web UI’s

-Experience with AWS Cognito, Okta, or similar identity providers.

-Experience with SpiceDB (specific RBAC tool)

-Experience with Bazel for build tooling

-Exposure to Google Zanzibar (distributed authorization system)

-Postgres database experience
