Senior Solutions Architect - Data & AI (Google Cloud Platform)

We are looking for a senior, hands-on Solutions Architect to join Kyndryl’s Applications, Data & AI (ADAI) practice, supporting strategic enterprise data initiatives on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).

This role requires strong technical leadership, architecture expertise, and practical implementation experience designing scalable, secure, and modern data and AI solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the design of end-to-end data and AI solution architectures on Google Cloud Platform.

• Define scalable architectures for data ingestion, storage, processing, analytics, governance, and AI enablement.

• Act as a hands-on architect, supporting engineering teams during implementation and delivery.

• Translate business and technical requirements into scalable solution designs and implementation roadmaps.

• Participate in proof-of-concepts, architecture validation, and technical design sessions.

• Support troubleshooting, performance optimization, and complex delivery challenges., * Google Cloud Professional Cloud Architect and/or Professional Data Engineer certifications are highly valued.

Leadership Expectations:

• Operate independently and take ownership of architecture decisions.

• Stay close to implementation and ensure designs are technically feasible. * Provide clear technical direction to delivery teams.

• Promote reusable patterns, automation, governance, and engineering excellence.

• 7+ years of experience as a Solutions Architect, Data Architect, Cloud Architect, or Lead Engineer.

• Proven experience designing and delivering enterprise-scale data and analytics platforms.

• Strong expertise with Google Cloud Platform services including BigQuery, Dataflow, Pub/Sub, Cloud Storage, Dataproc, Composer, Vertex AI, IAM, and networking components.

• Practical experience with data integration, ETL/ELT, APIs, streaming architectures, and distributed systems.

• Strong understanding of modern data architectures including data lakes, data warehouses, lakehouse patterns, and real-time analytics.

Preferred Technical Skills

• Experience with Spark, Kafka, Airflow, dbt, Terraform, Kubernetes, or Databricks.

• Knowledge of CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code, DataOps, and cloud-native engineering practices.

• Familiarity with analytics platforms such as Looker, Power BI, or Tableau.
