Staff Integration & Test Software Engineer

In this role, you will be a member of the Platform Software Test Team, responsible for testing and validation of the core firmware platform used across Rivian and Volkswagen Group Technologies’ full portfolio of products. Using industry best practices, you will help define testing requirements and testing methods that will ensure we continue to raise the bar on the quality of the core firmware platform. Leveraging Rivian and Volkswagen Group Technologies’ field analytic pipelines, you will help to drive continuous monitoring and improvements to the core firmware platform., * Design architectures and develop embedded software for ECU simulation and physical test assets.

• Maintain automation and test frameworks at scale for usage in rapid engineering development and manufacturing environments.
• Develop multi-tiered test-suites that ensure the detection of regressions.
• Collaborate with base software firmware and test engineers to implement embedded solution simulations and testing gaps.
• Come together with your peers to share ideas, ask why with an open and curious mind, and learn from each other’s diverse perspectives to deliver great work as a team.
• Shape the future of our automated testing and release strategies.

Do you have experience in Quality assurance within IT?, * 8+ years of experience with Python scripting, including testing frameworks such as pytest.

• 8+ years developing software for embedded products.
• Solid understanding of development lifecycles, testing methodologies, and QA processes.
• Experience with gitlabci or equivalent Continuous Integration systems.
• Good team player with great communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced development environment.

The posted salary represents the lowest and highest ranges RV Tech reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for the position. Any posted salary range pertains only to the estimated starting pay for the role. Actual starting pay is based on a number of factors, including, but not limited to, the candidate’s experience, skillset, qualifications, specific competencies, relevant education, and location., Total compensation packages for full-time positions include base salary, eligibility for an annual performance bonus, and eligibility for equity.
