Software Engineering Manager

• People Leadership & Growth: Look after up to 2 cross-functional teams of engineers (up to 10 direct reports), nurturing engineering talent, encouraging personal development, and managing performance to ensure alignment with delivery objectives.
• Client Engagement & Value Delivery: Work closely with our clients (including major partners like ENGIE), alongside product managers and client success teams, to translate complex client requirements into technical reality and ensure high-value delivery.
• Technical Guidance: Leverage your technical experience to contribute to and guide architecture and implementation discussions, bringing big-picture context and ensuring systems are robust, scalable, and resilient.
• Strategic Roadmap Execution: Drive the technical roadmap and strategy for your domain, steering both the technical and product vision to ensure your team’s products are highly successful.
• Operational Excellence: Act as a champion for operational excellence within your area, establishing fundamental ways of working, eliminating engineering blockers, and optimizing team delivery., * Domain Expertise: Experience within enterprise billing, finance and ledger tooling, payments systems integration, ecommerce, or energy generation/supply (especially DSO integration).

Do you have experience in Software development?, * Engineering Management Experience: Proven experience in an Engineering Management or related leadership role guiding high-performing, cross-functional engineering teams.

• Client-Facing & Relationship Mastery: Strong track record of developing and maintaining positive client relationships, actively listening to needs, providing transparent communication, and managing stakeholder expectations.
• Modern Technical Architecture: An excellent understanding of a broad set of modern technologies, specifically distributed architectures and event-based systems (e.g., Kafka).
• Agile Frameworks: A fundamental and practical understanding of Agile and Lean software development practices.
