Technical Solutions Engineer

• Design, configure, deploy, and support Milestone XProtect environments
• Integrate Digital Barriers EdgeVis with Milestone XProtect and wider customer CCTV estates
• Connect, configure, and troubleshoot IP cameras, encoders, NVRs, recording servers, mobile video sources, and VMS platforms
• Support integration between EdgeVis and Milestone for secure, bandwidth-efficient video streaming from existing CCTV infrastructure
• Configure and troubleshoot ONVIF devices and services, including live streaming, events, metadata, recording, playback, and retrieval
• Work with ONVIF Profiles S, T, M and G across mixed-camera environments
• Configure Milestone Management Client, Smart Client, Recording Servers, Mobile Server, user roles, rules, alarms, events, views, permissions, and device settings
• Support customer discovery, technical scoping, proof-of-concepts, demonstrations, acceptance testing, and project handover
• Diagnose video issues relating to stream availability, codec compatibility, latency, bitrate, bandwidth, frame rate, GOP, authentication, camera firmware, storage, and network configuration
• Work across LAN, WAN, VPN, 4G/5G, satellite, and constrained-bandwidth environments
• Produce technical documentation, configuration guides, test plans, handover packs, and support notes
• Provide technical support to sales, product, engineering, project delivery, and customer support teams
• Deliver customer and internal training following EdgeVis product enablement
• Willingness to travel to customer, partner, and project sites as required (approximately 30% travel, including both domestic and international)

• Present and demonstrate Digital Barriers’ technology with confidence and credibility
• Translate technical capabilities into clear operational and commercial value
• Work closely with pre-sales and engineering teams to develop tailored solutions
• Act as a trusted advisor to customers, bridging technical and business conversations

Partner Enablement

• Support system integrators, channel partners, and customer technical teams during deployment
• Provide technical enablement and product guidance to partners
• Help partners position EdgeVis accurately within Milestone XProtect environments
• Escalate technical issues and customer requirements into product and engineering teams

We are looking for a technically capable Technical Solutions Engineer to support the deployment, configuration, and integration of Digital Barriers EdgeVis solutions into Milestone XProtect customer environments.

The successful candidate will receive product training on Digital Barriers EdgeVis, but must already have proven experience with Milestone XProtect, ONVIF, IP CCTV, RTSP video streaming, and VMS integration. This role will act as a technical bridge between existing customer CCTV infrastructure, Milestone XProtect deployments, and EdgeVis secure video streaming capabilities.

The role will suit someone with hands-on experience designing, configuring, integrating, and troubleshooting Milestone-based video systems in enterprise, public sector, transport, critical infrastructure, police, defence, utilities, or commercial environments.

Certification Requirements

Candidates must hold current Milestone XProtect certification, ideally MCIT as a minimum. MCIE and/or MCDE certification would be strongly preferred. Product-specific training on Digital Barriers EdgeVis will be provided. Candidates must be able to provide strong examples of deploying Milestone XProtect, IP CCTV, ONVIF Profiles S, T, M and G, RTSP streaming, recording/playback workflows, and VMS integration., * 5 to 7 years hands-on experience with Milestone XProtect Corporate

• Current or recent Milestone certification, preferably MCIT, MCIE, or MCDE
• Strong understanding of ONVIF Profiles S, T, M and G
• Experience with IP CCTV, VMS platforms, NVRs, encoders, IP cameras, video gateways, and control-room environments
• Good knowledge of RTSP/RTP, H.264, H.265, MJPEG, stream profiles, multicast/unicast, frame rate, bitrate, GOP, resolution, latency, and bandwidth optimisation
• Experience troubleshooting video streams from mixed camera manufacturers
• Good networking knowledge, including TCP/IP, VLANs, routing, firewall rules, NAT, VPNs, DNS, DHCP, NTP, QoS, and secure remote access
• Ability to configure and troubleshoot camera discovery, authentication, recording, playback, events, alarms, metadata, and permissions
• Strong customer-facing communication skills
• Ability to document designs, configurations, test results, and technical recommendations

Desirable Experience

• Prior experience with Digital Barriers EdgeVis or secure video streaming platforms
• Experience with Milestone APIs, MIP SDK, Event Server, alarms, metadata, or third-party integrations
• Experience in government, law enforcement, defence, critical infrastructure, transport, or utilities environments
• Networking certifications such as CCNA

Pay: $120,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
