Senior Cloud & AI Architect at Metro Atlanta GA Local Candidates Only

We are seeking an experienced Senior Cloud & AI Architect to lead the design, architecture, and implementation of secure, scalable, and AI-driven cloud solutions supporting large-scale government initiatives. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in AWS cloud architecture, enterprise application modernization, AI/ML technologies, and hybrid cloud environments. This role requires providing technical leadership, defining enterprise architecture standards, mentoring development teams, and collaborating with business and technology stakeholders to deliver innovative, secure, and compliant solutions. Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement enterprise cloud architecture using AWS and hybrid cloud platforms.
• Architect scalable AI/ML, Generative AI, and Large Language Model (LLM) solutions for government and public sector applications.
• Lead application modernization and cloud migration initiatives using cloud-native technologies.
• Develop AI-powered solutions including chatbots, NLP applications, and intelligent automation.
• Evaluate and recommend AI platforms and frameworks such as AWS SageMaker, Azure ML, Google Vertex AI, and PyTorch.
• Ensure cloud and AI solutions comply with security, governance, and regulatory standards including FedRAMP, FISMA, and NIST frameworks.
• Collaborate with architects, developers, infrastructure teams, and business stakeholders to define technical roadmaps and enterprise architecture strategies.
• Provide technical leadership, architecture guidance, code reviews, and mentorship to engineering teams.
• Design enterprise integrations across cloud services, AI platforms, and business applications.
• Establish cloud architecture best practices, governance, and operational excellence.

Do you have experience in Terraform?, * 10+ years of overall IT experience with at least 5 years in Enterprise or Solution Architecture.

• 5+ years of hands-on experience designing and implementing AWS cloud solutions.
• Strong experience in enterprise application architecture, cloud migration, and application modernization.
• Hands-on expertise in AI/ML, Deep Learning, Natural Language Processing (NLP), Generative AI, and LLM technologies.
• Experience with AWS cloud services and AI platforms such as AWS SageMaker, Azure ML, Google Vertex AI, or PyTorch.
• Strong understanding of cloud architecture patterns including IaaS, PaaS, microservices, containers, and serverless technologies.
• Experience designing secure, scalable, and highly available cloud solutions.
• Knowledge of DevOps, CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code (Terraform/CloudFormation), and API integrations.
• Excellent leadership, communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills., * AWS Certified Solutions Architect or equivalent cloud certification.
• AI/ML or cloud specialty certifications (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Experience working with State, Federal, or Local Government agencies.
• Experience building enterprise chatbot, Generative AI, and LLM-based solutions.
• Knowledge of AI ethics, Responsible AI, bias mitigation, and governance frameworks.
• Familiarity with security and compliance standards including FedRAMP, FISMA, NIST AI RMF, and NIST 800-53.
• Experience supporting enterprise digital transformation initiatives in the public sector.
