Senior SQL Developer (CLT)

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Oracle PL/SQL Developer to join a large enterprise financial services organization. This is a backfill opportunity for an established development team supporting critical enterprise database applications. The ideal candidate will have 10-15+ years of Oracle database development experience within the banking or financial services industry and be capable of contributing immediately with minimal ramp-up time. We’re looking for someone whose career demonstrates steady progression, strong technical depth, and long-term tenure. Success in this role requires a highly ethical, collaborative professional with a sense of urgency, curiosity, and a hands-on approach to solving complex technical challenges.

Project Details:

• Backfill for a senior developer supporting ongoing enterprise initiatives
• Design, develop, maintain, and optimize Oracle PL/SQL applications supporting critical business functions
• Work extensively with Oracle Enterprise databases, ETL processes, and backend data solutions
• Develop complex SQL queries, stored procedures, packages, functions, triggers, and database objects
• Optimize database performance through query tuning, execution plan analysis, indexing strategies, and bulk processing techniques
• Collaborate with developers, architects, and business stakeholders to support new development and enhancements
• Build and maintain ETL processes for enterprise data movement and integration
• Participate in code reviews, troubleshooting, production support, and technical design discussions

Do you have experience in System tuning?, * 10-15+ years of Oracle PL/SQL development experience

• Extensive experience within the banking or financial services industry
• Advanced expertise with Oracle Enterprise databases
• Strong SQL development skills, including complex joins, analytical functions, and query optimization
• Experience developing:
• Stored procedures
• Functions
• Packages
• Database triggers
• Cursors and REF CURSORs
• Exception handling
• Collections and record types
• Strong understanding of relational database design, data modeling, normalization, constraints, and indexing
• Experience with performance tuning using tools such as EXPLAIN PLAN, AUTOTRACE, TKPROF, and DBMS_PROFILER
• Experience with bulk processing techniques including BULK COLLECT and FORALL
• Experience designing and supporting ETL processes using SQL*Loader, External Tables, UTL_FILE, or similar technologies
• Experience with Oracle SQL Developer, PL/SQL Developer, or comparable development tools

Desired Skills

• Oracle Database PL/SQL Developer Certified Professional certification
• Experience working with financial data warehouses
• Exposure to audit or regulatory initiatives
• Experience working with REST APIs, JSON, XML, or GraphQL
• Working knowledge of Python or Java
• Experience using AI-assisted development tools
