Job description

We are seeking an experienced Senior Backend Engineer to build and own a secure fleet and financing platform from the ground up. This position offers the opportunity to work at the intersection of cybersecurity, fintech, IoT, cloud infrastructure, and electric vehicle technology., * Architect, develop, and maintain backend services, APIs, and platform infrastructure from scratch.

  • Design and implement secure authentication, authorization, encryption, and key management systems.
  • Integrate cloud services with IoT and telematics hardware deployed on vehicles.
  • Own cloud infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, deployment processes, monitoring, and scalability.
  • Collaborate closely with hardware, embedded, mobile, and web teams.
  • Establish engineering best practices for security, testing, observability, reliability, and code quality.
  • Provide technical leadership on architecture decisions and long-term platform strategy.

Requirements

Do you have experience in Web services design?, * 5+ years of backend engineering experience.

  • Proven experience building and shipping production systems from 0 to 1.
  • Strong expertise in security, cryptography, authentication, and encryption.
  • Proficiency in Go, TypeScript, or similar backend technologies.
  • Experience with AWS, GCP, or Azure cloud platforms.
  • Experience designing and building APIs for web and mobile applications.
  • Strong understanding of databases, data modeling, containers, and CI/CD practices.
  • Ability to operate independently in a high-ownership environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with IoT, telematics, fleet management, or hardware-cloud integrations.
  • Experience with MQTT, WebSockets, or real-time systems.
  • Background in fintech, cybersecurity, or secure device platforms.
  • Startup or early-stage company experience.
  • Experience with hardware identity, device onboarding, or key provisioning.
  • Interest in electric vehicles, motorcycles, or emerging markets.
