Senior Solution Architect - SAP Production

firstPRO is seeking a Senior Solution Architect - SAP Production Planning who will partner with Production, Operations, and Supply Chain teams to define, deliver, and support technology-enabled business solutions that optimize manufacturing performance. This role is responsible for the architecture, design, implementation, enhancement, and support of SAP S/4HANA Production Planning (PP) solutions, with deep hands-on expertise in MRP, BOMs, routings, work centers, production orders, and capacity planning., * Partner with Production, Operations, and Supply Chain stakeholders to understand business strategy, operational priorities, and process challenges, translating them into scalable SAP S/4HANA Production Planning solutions.

• Lead the discovery, definition, documentation, and validation of business and functional requirements, while recommending best practices and optimized solution designs.
• Serve as the subject matter expert for SAP S/4HANA Production Planning (PP), providing deep functional leadership across production planning, execution, and manufacturing integration processes.
• Design end-to-end SAP PP solutions that align with enterprise architecture standards, digital strategy, and business objectives.
• Lead the configuration, testing, deployment, and ongoing support of SAP S/4HANA PP functionality, ensuring solutions meet business, technical, and compliance requirements.
• Drive integration between SAP S/4HANA and Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) to enable real-time production execution, shop floor visibility, and accurate transactional data flow.
• Collaborate across cross-functional teams to ensure effective integration between PP, MM, QM, EWM, and related business systems.
• Provide technical and functional guidance on solution design, system enhancements, process improvements, and issue resolution for complex manufacturing scenarios.
• Stay current on SAP S/4HANA capabilities, roadmap enhancements, and industry best practices, identifying opportunities to improve manufacturing processes and system performance.
• Lead project execution activities including planning, prioritization, resource coordination, risk management, and delivery of high-quality outcomes across cross-functional teams.
• Support production operations by troubleshooting system and process issues, identifying root causes, and implementing sustainable corrective actions.
• Ensure system support and maintenance activities are performed in alignment with the SAP service delivery model, internal policies, and applicable regulatory requirements, including SOX and FDA GMP where applicable.
• Create, maintain, and govern system lifecycle documentation such as functional specifications, SOPs, SOIs, test scripts, training materials, and job aids.
• Participate in formal change control processes and ensure all system updates are properly assessed, documented, tested, approved, and implemented.
• Contribute to Lean Sigma and continuous improvement initiatives that enhance operational efficiency, system effectiveness, and business performance.
• Ensure adherence to company safety, quality, and compliance standards at all times.
• Operate effectively in a global, matrixed, and virtual environment, balancing multiple priorities and delivering results in a fast-paced setting.
• Travel locally as needed.
