Job description

Vehicle driver and data collector within a team that is developing automatic transmissions. The support includes daily equipment setup, precision driving according to a procedure (no limit handling), and sharing the data and results with engineering., * Drive various vehicles on a test track environment.

  • Drive vehicles on public roads as necessary
  • Usage of a PC to collect data while driving
  • Assist in instrumentation of vehicles.
  • Daily reviews with engineering on tasks and troubleshooting, as needed.
  • Daily report/email of tasks completed.

Requirements

Do you have a valid Driver’s License license?, Do you have experience in Windows?, Do you have a High school diploma or GED?, * High School Diploma or GED

  • Valid Driver’s license
  • Familiarity with instrumentation, data logging, and vehicle evaluation setup process
  • Ability to operate a PC in a windows environment (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
  • Prepare basic technical reports
  • High driving skills and able to keep a safety mindset in the vehicle
  • Can detect smaller changes in the vehicle such as noise, vibration, or harnesses (must have keen sense of bumps or issues that are developing)
  • Most days include local travel around Chelsea and Ann Arbor private facilities, * High school or equivalent (Required)

Experience:

  • Vehicle Testing: 2 years (Preferred)
  • Data entry: 2 years (Preferred)

Benefits & conditions

$20 - $23 an hour - Full-time, Contract, * Travel: 5% can be vehicle trips or public road driving support

Pay: $20.00 - $23.00 per hour
