Job description

  • Prioritize and schedule UH-60 System Integration Lab (SIL) events.

  • Manage S3I UH-60 baseline simulation architecture configurations.

  • Determine UH-60 SIL simulation and aircraft configurations needed to support requested events.

  • Coordinate for needs outside the SIL to support UH-60 SIL events.

  • Coordinate and track the Systems Simulation, Software and Integration Directorate (S3I) UH-60 SIL schedule.

  • Verify UH-60M SIL is properly configured for test events.

  • Perform as operator of UH-60 SIL equipment (start/stop SIL simulation / stimulation software, assist test personnel with startup of SIL cockpit and rack).

  • Track Aircraft and simulation parts needed in the S3I UH-60 SIL.

  • Take action to obtain required UH-60 SIL parts as directed.

  • Supervise modifications needed in the S3I UH-60 SIL to support upcoming test and evaluation activities.

  • Attend (in person or by telecon) Flight Test IPTs and UHPO meetings where upcoming H-60M configurations are discussed.

  • Load avionics software on 60M LRUs as needed to support upcoming S3I SIL testing.

  • Advise PIF team supporting developing UH-60 SLV kits for UHPO.

  • Act as a backup to support loading UH-60 avionics software updates on AFTD test aircraft, Black Hawk Aircrew Trainer (BAT) team, SAC Hawk SIL HSV, and Rockwell SIL HSV.

  • Act as avionics platform operator during regular UH-60 Central Technical Support Facility (CTSF) Army Interoperability Certification (AIC) testing.

  • Collects Audio/Visual and Avionics data (1553/429/serial) during 60M and 60V SIL testing.

  • Provide Aviation Mission Planning Software (AMPS) support to UHPO Test team and Project Leads,

  • Provide AMPS support for Rockwell HSV SIL and SAC IBTF Stratford/HSV in support of UHPO Integration testing.

  • Provide technical support to UHPO software load teams to diagnose and resolve software loading issues.

  • Assist UHPO Logistics with reloading/return to service of components that failed software loading during Fielding.

  • Provide technical support to UHPO avionics MWO development/validation teams.

  • Provide technical support to Software Change Package (SCP) development teams.

  • Provide technical support to Software Loader Verifier development team.

  • Asist with the evaluation/de-bugging of new Software Loader Verifier (SLV) and software load tools.

  • Provide technical support to external groups and Field Service Representatives (FSR) as required.

  • Provide Avionics technical support to UHPO Project Leads.

  • Provide technical support and Investigate Avionics and software issues found by field units

  • Provide technical support to Black Hawk Aircrew Trainer (BAT) team for UH-60M Build and Avionics Modifications.

Requirements

  • The candidate should be a highly motivated and responsive self-starter with the ability to manage multiple tasks.

Education and General experience:

  • Bachelor of Science degree in a technical field with at least ten (10) years of relevant experience is preferred.

  • A strong work ethic, the ability to work effectively with others and a healthy desire to acquire new skills are paramount in this position.

  • Understanding of H-60M helicopter system, subsystems, and mission kits and their integration aspects to include electrical and software.

Clearance Requirements: Must have an Active Secret Security Clearance or the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance.
