Job description

We are seeking an experienced Data Analyst to join a growing analytics team supporting a leading energy and utilities organization. In this role, you’ll develop advanced analytics solutions, build scalable data infrastructure, and transform large, complex datasets into actionable business insights.

This opportunity is ideal for someone who enjoys working across the full data lifecycle-from engineering data pipelines and designing infrastructure to developing machine learning models and delivering executive dashboards.

What You’ll DoData Analytics & Machine Learning

  • Design, develop, and implement advanced analytical solutions that support business decision-making.
  • Apply statistical analysis and machine learning techniques to large datasets for predictive and prescriptive analytics.
  • Develop models that improve operational efficiency and business performance.
  • Analyze complex datasets to identify trends, risks, and opportunities.

Data Engineering

  • Design, build, and optimize scalable data pipelines and ETL processes.
  • Develop and maintain reliable data architecture and infrastructure.
  • Write complex SQL queries for data extraction, transformation, and analysis.
  • Manage relational databases and support large-scale data processing.

Business Intelligence & Reporting

  • Develop interactive dashboards and reports using Power BI and Tableau.
  • Deliver actionable insights to business stakeholders through visualizations and reporting tools.
  • Partner with business teams to define reporting requirements and success metrics.

Collaboration

  • Work closely with business partners, engineering teams, and leadership to define data requirements.
  • Create technical documentation for data models, ETL processes, and analytical solutions.
  • Support new infrastructure implementations and recommend scalable technologies.

Requirements

Do you have experience in Working in the energy & utilities sector?, * Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field.

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in data analytics, data engineering, or a related role.
  • Experience working within the energy, utilities, or a similarly regulated industry.
  • Strong SQL programming and database management experience.
  • Experience building and maintaining ETL pipelines and data integration processes.
  • Experience with machine learning, predictive analytics, and statistical modeling.
  • Proficiency with Power BI, Tableau, or similar business intelligence platforms.
  • Strong understanding of data architecture, data modeling, and database design.
  • Experience working with AWS or other cloud platforms.
  • Programming experience with Python, R, or similar languages.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills., * Experience with AI and advanced machine learning frameworks.
  • Familiarity with big data technologies such as Spark, Hadoop, or similar platforms.
  • Experience building new data environments and infrastructure from the ground up.
  • Knowledge of server architecture, hardware configuration, and scalable data processing environments.
  • Experience with DevOps practices or modern data engineering tools.
  • Full-stack development experience supporting both front-end and back-end data applications.
