Job description

Provides Business Intelligence (BI) solution support through the development, deployment, integration, and support of advanced analytical tools. Works closely with requestors and/or analytical/development peers to prepare and/or review detailed specifications from which solutions are developed. Responsible for the design, coding, testing, debugging and documentation throughout the development process. Evaluates and supports organizational needs and applies BI tools/visualization techniques to transform data into actionable information., * Develop BI solutions and tools in support of TMC customer needs.

  • Support the Implementation and Training of new BI Solutions.
  • Build and study historical data models, research trends, and analyze effects of decisions or events on organizational key performance indicators.
  • Monitor use of BI solutions and identifies usage inconsistent with customer business requirements.
  • Write BI solutions using the most appropriate languages for the specific feature or use case.
  • Identify, debug, and remedy problems within BI solution sets.
  • Develop, design, and interpret use case specifications.
  • Follow project scope, development timelines, and established design standards.
  • Provide analytical insight to customers beyond displayed data.
  • Adhere to and supports team members in exhibiting TMCH values of integrity, community, compassion, and dedication.
  • Adhere to TMCH organizational and department-specific safety, confidentiality, values, policies and standards.
  • Perform related duties as assigned.

Requirements

Do you have experience in System design for system development?, Do you have a Bachelor’s degree?, * Bachelor’s degree in computer sciences, business intelligence, STEM, or an equivalent combination of relevant education and experience., * Three (3) years of BI solutions development and analysis experience, preferably in an acute care setting.

LICENSURE OR CERTIFICATION:

  • Certification in one or more EPIC applications preferred.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Knowledge of database management systems.
  • Applied experience with SQL.
  • Applied experience in BI technologies (Qlik, PowerBI, Lumira, BOBJ, R, SAS, Python).
  • Knowledge of design in custom data models and algorithms using data science or advanced analytical methodologies.
  • Knowledge of application programming and a good understanding of the business process for which the application is designed.
  • Knowledge of how to evaluate systems and develop scope and document system needs.
  • Skill in documenting and trouble shooting and defining system scope to accurately analyze needs for improvement.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret scientific and technical journals, extensive financial reports, and/or legal documents.
  • Ability to calculate figures and compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs; ability to apply basic algebraic concepts
  • Ability to apply principles of logical or scientific thinking to a wide range of intellectual and practical problems.
  • Ability to deal with nonverbal symbolism (formulas, scientific equations, graphs, etc.), and with a variety of abstract and concrete variables.
