Job description
- Sets up and tears down timing equipment for a variety of race events, runs the equipment and times the actual events.
- Is responsible for the accuracy and precision of all timing data.
- Produces timing reports and results for all USSA/FIS sanctioned events.
- Maintains and fixes all types of timing equipment and the wiring system.
- Assists in all other aspects of event/race production as needed, setting up gates, banners, removes any obstacles during the event.
- Tears down gates, fencing, signage etc. as required at the close of the day or the end of race events.
- On the job training and supervision by a very experienced timing technician will be provided and is part of the job.
Requirements
Do you have a High school diploma or GED?, * High school graduate or equivalent experience.
- Computer literate, highly organized, accurate, precision and a strong math background a must.
- Ability to effectively communicate with racers, race officials, coaching staff, co-workers and ski area guests.
- Knowledge of race procedures and regulations desirable.
- Good skiing or snowboarding skills required.
- Ability to do general repairs on timing equipment and an electronics background strongly desirable.
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily with or without reasonable accommodations.
