Job description

Mechanical & Plumbing Systems (MPS) is seeking experienced Commercial HVAC Service Technicians to support mission-critical data centers and high-profile commercial clients nationwide., * Startup, commissioning, and service of commercial HVAC systems

  • Troubleshoot and diagnose complex HVAC issues
  • Perform preventative maintenance and system optimization
  • Support mission-critical data center cooling systems
  • Complete detailed service documentation and reports
  • Deliver exceptional customer service in professional environments
  • Travel throughout the United States as needed

Requirements

This role is ideal for technicians who enjoy travel, advanced troubleshooting, startup and commissioning work, and working in environments where quality, professionalism, and attention to detail matter., * 7+ years of commercial HVAC service experience

  • EPA Universal Certification required
  • Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills
  • Experience with chillers, hydronic systems, VRF, RTUs, boilers, or mission-critical cooling systems preferred
  • Ability to travel nationwide
  • Valid driver’s license with clean driving record; able to pass a background check and drug screening., * This role is primarily field-based and physically active. HVAC Service Technicians can expect to spend the majority of their time on their feet, walking, standing, climbing ladders, bending, crouching, or working in tight and confined spaces. Extended periods of physical activity are common while diagnosing and repairing equipment at customer job sites.
  • While a small portion of time (approximately 15%) may be spent in an office setting completing reports or administrative tasks at a computer, most responsibilities require hands-on work with tools and equipment. Technicians must regularly lift and move items up to 50 pounds and occasionally up to 100 pounds, sometimes in challenging environments.
  • Clear and effective communication with customers, coworkers, and supervisors is essential, both in person and electronically. Individuals must also be capable of reviewing their work for accuracy and making necessary adjustments in the field.
  • This position involves frequent exposure to outdoor conditions and varying environments, including mechanical rooms, rooftops, and active construction sites. Noise levels may range from low to high depending on the job location.
