Job description
We are seeking a Senior Workday Adaptive Planning Analyst to serve as a hands-on technical and strategic resource within a high-visibility FP&A function. In this role, you will own the architecture and administration of complex planning models, drive budget and forecast cycles end to end, and partner directly with finance leadership to translate business needs into scalable platform solutions. This is an opportunity for someone who is equally comfortable in the weeds of model configuration and in the room advising on financial planning strategy-someone who takes platform ownership seriously and brings a proactive, continuous-improvement mindset to everything they build.
What You’ll D
- Architect, build, and maintain complex Workday Adaptive Planning models, sheets, reports, and dashboards aligned to organizational planning needs.
- Own end-to-end budget and forecast loading processes, ensuring accurate data integration, smooth cycle rollouts, and tight alignment with corporate financial objectives.
- Assess existing financial models and system architecture to identify performance bottlenecks, streamline data flows, and improve overall reporting efficiency.
- Drive continuous process and platform improvements; stay current with Workday Adaptive releases and proactively recommend and implement best practices to maximize platform value.
- Partner with FP&A leadership to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions, providing strategic guidance and end-user training as needed.
Requirements
Do you have experience in Workday Financial Management?, Do you have a Bachelor’s degree?, * Hands-on experience administering and configuring Workday Adaptive Planning, including model-building, sheet design, and report and dashboard development.
- Demonstrated experience managing budget loading and forecasting cycles, including data integration and cycle rollout coordination.
- Strong understanding of FP&A processes, financial planning concepts, and how planning platforms support enterprise reporting needs.
- Ability to assess existing model architecture and data flows for optimization opportunities, with a track record of improving system performance and reporting efficiency.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills; comfortable presenting recommendations and training finance users at all levels.
- Self-directed with a continuous improvement mindset; proactive in staying current with platform updates and translating them into actionable recommendations
Preferred
- Workday Adaptive Planning certification or formal Workday training.
- Experience with broader Workday ecosystem integrations (e.g., Workday HCM or Financials) and how data flows between modules.
- Familiarity with OfficeConnect or other Workday Adaptive reporting and presentation tools.
- Background in financial analysis, accounting, or a related discipline that informs strong platform design judgment.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
Benefits & conditions
$80 - $115 an hour - Part-time, Contract
