Job description

The Cybersecurity Analyst is responsible for protecting the organization’s information systems, networks, and data from cyber threats. This role performs security monitoring, incident response, vulnerability management, risk assessments, and security compliance activities. The ideal candidate exercises strong judgment and demonstrates commitment to the success of the company by positively supporting the company’s directives and objectives.

Essential Responsibilities/Duties:

· Monitor security alerts and events using security management tools (Crowdstrike, ThreatLocker, Abnormal AI).

· Investigate, analyze, and respond to cybersecurity incidents and threats.

· Conduct vulnerability assessments and coordinate remediation efforts.

· Review and maintain security controls, policies, and procedures.

· Support security audits, risk assessments, and compliance initiatives.

· Analyze logs from firewalls, endpoints, servers, and cloud environments.

· Lead the security awareness training and promote cybersecurity best practices.

· Participate in incident response planning, testing, and execution.

· Document security findings, incidents, and remediation recommendations.

· Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve the organization’s security posture.

· Stay current with emerging cybersecurity threats, vulnerabilities, and industry trends.

· Any other duties as assigned by your manager.

Requirements

Do you have experience in vCenter?, Do you have a Bachelor’s degree?, Qualifications/Experience: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required.

Education and/or Experience: A Bachelor’s degree in Cyber Security, Information Technology, Computer Science or related field. 3-5 years of cyber security, information security and/or information technology experience. Must have hands-on experience with Cybersecurity incident response, breach prevention, and tools like Crowdstrike/ThreatLocker.

Interpersonal Skills: Ability to relate to people on many levels (both internal and external). Ability to communicate with people tactfully and with diplomacy and professionalism.

Language Skills: EXCELLENT written and oral communication skills. Ability to read and interpret general business documents.

Mathematical Skills: Ability to calculate figures such as discounts, percent’s, etc.

Reasoning Ability: Ability to solve practical problems with customers and staff. Strong initiative and decision-making skills required. Creative thinker with data driven analytical aptitude.

Computer Skills: Microsoft skills required (Outlook, Excel, Word). Strong hands-on experience with VMware Horizon View (VDI) and VMware ESXi clusters/vCenter; VMware certifications (VCP-DTM, VCP-NV, or equivalent) highly preferred. Experience working in a hybrid environment, PC and Mac.

Organizational Skills: Ability to plan, stay organized and focused throughout the day.

Ability to Multi-task: Perform tasks simultaneously.

Professionalism: Represents the company in a professional manner regarding interaction with your team, customers and corporate personnel.

Work Schedule: Typically, Monday thru Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm. Must show up on time for all required shifts. In office, no work from home flexibility.

Physical Requirements: The physical demands described here are representatives of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

· Ability to frequently lift-up to 10 lbs., occasionally lift-up to 25 lbs., and to rarely lift-up to 50 lbs.

· Ability to reach, bend, twist and squat in order to perform duties of the job.

· Ability to sit at a desk for long periods of time while performing job functions.

· Ability to perform repetitive movements for data entry.
