Job description
We are seeking a highly skilled Data Center Site Manager to lead the operational excellence of a hyper growth data center project located in Richland Parish, LA. This pivotal role involves overseeing all aspects of site management, ensuring operational excellence, team management, safety adherence, customer satisfaction and quality assurance. As the onsite leader, you will coordinate and oversee all project activities, supervise technical teams, and implement strategies to maintain seamless data center operations., * Lead and supervise data center technical teams responsible for pulling, routing, securing, and dressing fiber optic pigtail trunks, multifiber cables, and associated infrastructure in overhead trays, conduits, and data center pathways
- Ensure all customer and data center standards for cable management, bend radius, labeling, and documentation are met
- Oversee the installation, testing, troubleshooting, and repair of programmable logic controllers (PLCs), schematics, and control systems to support facility operations.
- Manage facilities infrastructure including high voltage and low voltage electrical systems, ensuring compliance with safety standards and regulations.
- Conduct regular inspections of mechanical systems using various tools to diagnose issues and verify system integrity
- Coordinate projects related to facility upgrades or expansions with project management teams while maintaining operational continuity.
- Full understanding and ability to read project scope, standards and requirements and communicate and drive a team to project success
- Drive and lead by example a safety focused culture including meeting all company and customer requirements, creating and leading onsite safety meetings, tracking good catches/safety assessments, hosting creative daily tool box talks, etc.
- Maintain and update project document requirements including trackers, photos, scope changes, etc.
- Supervise external contractors, vendors and partners ensuring all project and customer standards are met
- Drive project deliverables ensuring on time, within budget and quality requirements while driving a highly productive team of both internal teams and external contractors.
- Ability to meet the demands of a hyper growth data center timeline that could including being onsite and available weekends, evenings and/or holidays
- Performs other position duties as requested
Requirements
Do you have a valid Driver’s License license?, Do you have experience in Team leadership?, * Safety is the number one priority, full buy-in to the safety culture and requirements
- Strong communication skills with the ability to work with and lead diverse teams
- Highly customer centric with the ability to professionally communicate and resolve customer issues with urgency
- Strong team leadership skills; can drive productivity, safety, quality on site
- Solution focused with strong problem solving skills
- Ability to manage through multiple priorities
- Proficient with Microsoft Suite (Outlook, Excel), * 5-7+ Years of proven management experience leading technical teams within a hyper scale data center environment required
- 10+ years of ISP/Data Center technical experience previously operating as a Lead Technician/Superintendent level required
- Excellent project coordination skills with the ability to oversee multiple initiatives simultaneously ensuring project success.
- Bilingual with fluency in Spanish is highly preferred; strong communication skills are necessary for effective collaboration across diverse teams and vendors.
- Valid Drivers License Required with the ability to operate a vehicle onsite, * ISP Telecommunications : 10 years (Required)
- Managing Technical Teams in the ISP/Data Center: 5 years (Required)
- Hyper Growth Data Center: 7 years (Required)
