Job description

  • Oversee and manage the vRA and VCD environment globally.
  • Administer the VMware environment and troubleshoot the vRA/VCD environment.
  • Create new endpoints as a landing zone for vRA and deploy new vORGs in VCD.
  • Utilize strong knowledge of JavaScript to enhance and customize vRA.
  • Design, script, implement, and manage an IaaS solution (VM Creation Tool) on a VMware environment.
  • Serve as an Automation Engineer for vRA, vRO, vCenter API, and SDK.
  • Use JavaScript, REST APIs, PowerShell, and Git to facilitate automation of operations-related tasks.
  • Act as a VMware Subject Matter Expert (SME) for:
  • vRA 7.x
  • vRO 7.x
  • VCD
  • VMware Converter
  • vCenter
  • vSphere
  • NSX-T
  • PowerCLI
  • Implement and test vRA 7.x environment upgrades, including tenant and fabric group design and configuration.
  • Collaborate with team members to implement VM creation and deletion workflows in vRO.
  • Work extensively with vRA and vRO to implement various production and non-production proof of concepts (POCs) for blueprints and workflows.
  • Deploy and manage Azure VMware Services (AVS) and Azure NetApp Files (ANF) through the Azure portal.
  • Deploy and manage VMware Cloud on AWS and Amazon FSx for NetApp ONTAP through the AWS portal.
  • Deploy and manage Google Cloud VMware Engine and Google Cloud NetApp Volumes through the Google Cloud Platform portal., * Do you have hands-on experience supporting product hosting environments or cloud-based platforms (e.g., SaaS, migration technologies, or virtual engineering platforms)?
  • Are you comfortable working aligned to U.S. time zone hours and providing ongoing operational support for critical IT systems?
  • Can you describe your experience with troubleshooting and maintaining enterprise IT systems that require minimal ramp-up time?

Requirements

Do you have experience in vCenter?, Do you have a Bachelor’s degree?, We are seeking a results-driven Sr. IT Architect with extensive experience in managing and optimizing vRealize Automation (vRA), VMware Cloud Director (VCD), and vRealize Orchestrator (vRO) environments globally.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in designing, scripting, implementing, and managing IaaS solutions on VMware environments. As a key member of our SDDC Team, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing the vRA/VCD environment, administering the VMware environment, and troubleshooting the vRA/VCD environment.

You will also play a crucial role in creating new endpoints, enhancing and customizing vRA using JavaScript, and implementing automation solutions for operations-related tasks. The successful candidate will be a VMware Subject Matter Expert (SME) for vRA 7.x, vRO 7.x, VCD, vCenter, vSphere, and PowerCLI., * Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

  • 6+ years of experience in IT architecture planning, including a minimum of 3 years in a leadership or managerial role.
  • Extensive experience with:
  • vRA
  • vRO
  • VCD
  • NSX-T
  • Strong knowledge of VMware environment administration.
  • Proficiency in:
  • JavaScript
  • REST APIs
  • PowerShell scripting
  • Experience with IaaS solution design and implementation.
  • VMware certifications in vRA, vRO, VCD, or related technologies.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills.
  • In-depth understanding of enterprise architecture frameworks and methodologies.
  • U.S. Citizenship required due to working in export-controlled and non-export-controlled environments.
