Wi-Fi Architect

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate Wi-Fi solutions with existing LAN (Local Area Network), WAN (Wide Area Network), and cloud infrastructure such as AWS and Azure.
• Implement advanced security measures using tools like Cisco ISE (Identity Services Engine), firewalls (Cisco ASA), VPNs, and network protocols such as IPsec to safeguard wireless communications.
• Conduct detailed site surveys and network installation planning to optimize access point placement and minimize interference.
• Monitor network performance using network management tools like Meraki and develop strategies for load balancing, traffic prioritization, and troubleshooting connectivity issues.
• Develop and maintain documentation for network architecture, configurations, policies, and procedures aligned with SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle) standards.
• Stay current with emerging wireless technologies including 802.11 standards, virtualization techniques, SDN (Software Defined Networking), and DevOps practices to continuously enhance network capabilities.

• Proven experience designing and deploying enterprise Wi-Fi solutions within complex IT infrastructures.
• Strong knowledge of computer networking fundamentals including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, routing protocols (OSPF, EIGRP, BGP), MPLS, VLANs, BGP routing protocols, and IP networking principles.
• Hands-on expertise with Cisco routers/switches, Juniper devices, Meraki systems, and other network hardware.
• Familiarity with network security tools such as Cisco ISE, firewalls (Cisco ASA), VPN technologies (IPsec & SSL), and comprehensive knowledge of information security best practices.
• Proficiency in scripting languages like Python or JavaScript for automation tasks; experience with VMware or other virtualization platforms is a plus.
• Experience working within Agile development environments using CI/CD pipelines for continuous integration of network updates.
• Strong understanding of operating systems including Windows, Linux/Unix environments; ability to manage system design and troubleshooting across multiple platforms.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze complex network issues quickly and effectively.
• Relevant certifications such as CCNP Wireless or CWNA are highly desirable; a background in computer science or related fields is preferred. Pay: $60.00 - $70.00 per hour
