Job description

We are a group of insurance companies that built our own AI platform in house.

We are looking for one full stack developer to help us grow it and connect it to the other systems we use.

The main part of this job is integrations. In plain terms, that means connecting our platform to outside systems and building the pipes that let them talk to each other. You will be calling other companies’ APIs, moving data between systems cleanly, and making sure those connections keep working.

You would work directly with the owner, who is hands on and technical. No layers of management. Real work that our staff use every day.

What you would do

  • Build connections between our platform and outside company systems
  • Call other companies’ APIs and handle the messy parts, like logins, errors, and slow responses
  • Move and map data cleanly between systems that store things differently
  • Work on both the backend and the frontend of our platform
  • Ship your work safely through GitHub

Requirements

Do you have experience in Windows?, * Real experience connecting to outside APIs

  • Solid Node.js, Express, and React
  • Good with SQL databases
  • Knows how to use GitHub properly
  • Comfortable working on Windows servers, or willing to learn

Just as important, the right attitude

  • Careful and detail focused. Small mistakes in this work can cause real problems, so we want someone who takes their time and gets it right.
  • Honest about what you know and what you do not. Nobody knows everything. We want someone who says so and figures it out.
  • Takes ownership. Owns mistakes and fixes them.
  • Works clean. Changes only what needs changing and explains the work in plain language.

Nice to have

  • Experience with AI APIs like Claude or OpenAI
  • Experience with logins like OAuth, Active Directory, or Microsoft systems
  • Insurance or other regulated industry experience
