Job description

The Technician, Install & Network Infra II plays a critical role in the deployment and maintenance of network infrastructure across various client sites within the United States. This position is responsible for the installation, configuration, testing, and troubleshooting of network equipment to ensure optimal performance and reliability. The technician will collaborate closely with project managers, engineers, and clients to deliver seamless network solutions that meet technical specifications and customer expectations. This role demands a proactive approach to identifying and resolving network issues, minimizing downtime, and supporting ongoing infrastructure upgrades. Ultimately, the technician ensures that network systems are installed efficiently and operate at peak performance, contributing to the overall success of the organization’s connectivity services., * Install, configure, and test network infrastructure components including routers, switches, cabling, and wireless access points at customer sites.

  • Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting to resolve network issues promptly and minimize service interruptions.
  • Collaborate with engineering and project management teams to ensure installations meet design specifications and quality standards.
  • Document installation processes, configurations, and service reports accurately for future reference and compliance.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to customers and internal teams during and after installation activities.

Requirements

Do you have a valid Driver’s License license?, Do you have experience in Telecommunications network troubleshooting?, Do you have a High school diploma or GED?, * High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification in networking or related field preferred.

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in network installation, maintenance, or a related technical role.
  • Proficiency with network hardware such as routers, switches, and cabling standards.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical diagrams, blueprints, and installation manuals.
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to various job sites within the United States., * Associate degree or higher in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
  • Certifications such as CompTIA Network+, Cisco CCNA, or equivalent networking credentials.
  • Experience with fiber optic installation and testing.
  • Familiarity with network security protocols and best practices.
  • Strong customer service skills and experience working directly with clients., The required skills enable the technician to effectively install and maintain complex network systems by understanding hardware configurations and network protocols. Troubleshooting skills are essential for diagnosing and resolving connectivity issues quickly to maintain service quality. Communication skills are used daily to coordinate with team members and explain technical information clearly to clients. Preferred skills such as fiber optic knowledge and advanced certifications enhance the technician’s ability to handle specialized installations and contribute to more complex projects. Together, these skills ensure the technician can deliver reliable network infrastructure solutions while adapting to evolving technologies and customer needs.
