Strategy & Business Leadership
- Define and execute the global strategy for the ISEM Metering segment (electricity + flow)
- Collaborate across business lines to drive the opportunity pipeline, design wins, and long-term revenue growth
- Position NXP to defend core metering share while expanding into next-gen architectures such as smart panels and energy gateways
- Align segment priorities with overall Power & Energy roadmap and key customers
Customer & Market Engagement
- Lead engagement with key customers including utilities, OEMs, and system integrators
- Drive strategic discussions on evolution of metering architectures such as intelligent edge processing, and secure connectivity to cloud and grid infrastructure
- Translate customer and regulatory requirements into system and silicon roadmaps
- Represent NXP at customer engagements, industry forums, and executive discussions
Solution, Security & Technology Leadership
- Define system-level architectures for smart electricity meters, flow meters, smart panels and energy gateways
- Drive adoption of scalable platforms leveraging MCUs / MPUs, analog front ends and metrology, Connectivity (PLC, RF, Wi-Fi, BLE, Thread)
- Promote platform approaches enabling reusable, certified, secure and scalable solutions
Cross-Functional Execution
- Collaborate across product lines (processing, connectivity, security, analog), system and application engineering teams, sales and marketing organizations
- Enable ecosystem partners and ensure scalable global solutions deployment
- Drive alignment across siloed teams to accelerate time-to-market and design reuse
Requirements
- Bachelor of Engineering or equivalent, with 10+ years in semiconductors, energy systems, or industrial markets
- Proven track record in:
- Metering, energy management, or utility infrastructure
- System-level architecture or solution definition
- Strategic customer engagement
- Strong understanding of:
- Metering architectures (electricity and/or flow)
- Analog sensing and metrology (e.g., precision measurement, ADC-based systems)
- Embedded processing (MCU/MPU)
- Connectivity technologies (PLC, wired, wireless)
- Familiarity with cybersecurity for embedded systems, including:
- Hardware-based security (secure elements, root of trust)
- Cryptographic protocols and secure communications
- Post-Quantum Cryptography (PQC) and long-term cryptographic resilience for infrastructure deployments
Leadership & Skills
- Strong strategic thinking and business acumen
- Excellent communication and executive presentation capability
- Ability to lead and influence across a global, matrix organization
- Proven ability to translate complex technologies into customer value
The successful candidate may/will be responsible for security related tasks. The assignment may/will be in scope of security certifications, therefore a conscious and reliable way of working is necessary.
