Job description
Here at GXO, we’re recruiting for a Systems Controller to support our La Doria operation in Sproughton, Ipswich. This is a 15-month fixed-term role (maternity cover), working a rotating shift pattern across early and late shifts, where you’ll take ownership of system performance, stock flow and container planning to ensure smooth and efficient warehouse operations., * Take ownership of warehouse system performance, proactively monitoring system health, identifying potential disruption risks and resolving or escalating issues to minimise downtime and maintain operational continuity
- Coordinate stock flow and outbound planning by scheduling picks in line with load deadlines, managing consolidation and shortfalls, and ensuring all operational activity is aligned to customer service requirements
- Manage container and resource planning, including bay allocation, labour deployment and inbound/outbound balancing, ensuring efficient utilisation of space, equipment and people
- Analyse and resolve stock discrepancies, rework backlogs and process exceptions, ensuring accurate inventory records while maintaining smooth operational flow across all warehouse areas
- Produce detailed operational reports and performance insights, supporting shift handovers, KPI tracking and continuous improvement through data-driven decision making
Requirements
Are you a systems-focused professional who thrives in a fast-paced warehouse environment? Do you enjoy solving operational challenges, managing system performance and keeping workflows moving efficiently? Are you confident coordinating multiple stakeholders while ensuring accuracy, flow and service levels are maintained?, * Strong experience working with warehouse management systems, with the ability to understand, troubleshoot and optimise system performance
- Proven experience in a stock, systems or operational support role within a fast-paced warehouse or logistics environment
- Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data, identify trends and make informed operational decisions
- Confident communicator with the ability to influence stakeholders, coordinate multiple teams and manage competing priorities
- Experience of SAP, eWM or similar systems, with a proactive, detail-focused and solutions-driven mindset
