Job description
Take a leading role in driving complex, large-scale change initiative that empower the business to achieve its strategic goals and targets. You will be part of the project team who is currently in the progress of replacing the existing front-end solution for the Retail business. The role will have a particular focus on the financial calculator that produces the customer rentals, the financial product solution where the products are maintained and the vehicle solution that holds all the asset data.
This is a key role as the overall goal is to achieve one single calculation service for both the Retail and then Fleet business and in BMW financial Services world this is known as the VPC (Vehicle, Product, Calculator).
The role will be part of a diverse IT team alongside service providers and vendors, collaborating closely with stakeholders across multiple departments-both within IT and the broader business (market and central)-you will ensure successful delivery of change and then introduce operational stability for the implemented solution.
This role is based in Summit One, Farnborough.
What Awaits You:
- Support product development by formulating and defining project scope, objectives, backlog, and refinements.
- Independently conduct complex research and analysis to develop requirements and solutions aligned with business needs and IT systems.
- Apply best practices to design effective solutions addressing complex business and IT challenges.
- Collaborate with BMW Group and vendors to align system design and development with requirements using the Agile Working Model (AWM) framework.
- Lead Systems Integration Testing activities to ensure systems meet requirements and support multi-business stakeholders during User Acceptance Testing.
- Support the delivery of products and services effectively.
- Facilitate knowledge transfer into operations to ensure long-term sustainability.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s / Master degree or equivalent qualification.
- Extensive experience in systems analysis and full project lifecycle, including international cooperation, with a particular focus on financial calculations.
- German language skills” to be able to effectively discuss requirements and upcoming initiatives with HQ departments.
- Strong project management experience; certifications such as PRINCE2, PMP, or Agile are desirable.
- Experience within Financial Services and automotive industry IT environments, with a particular focus on vehicle finance calculations in relation to financial products such a HP, PCP, PCH and Personal Loan, from an IT system perspective.
- In-depth knowledge of business and systems analysis with formal qualifications.
- Proven ability to operate within complex legacy systems landscapes and familiarity with BMW Group standard solutions.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills to work effectively across departments.
- Desirable: Understanding of BMW FS Group VPC specific tools like FOS, OfferAPI, AssetService, BMW financial Services architecture, BMW SF Product setup and knowledge about cross market initiatives like OneSF.
