Job description

Your role: We are seeking a Data and Reporting Project Analyst to join the HR Data & Reporting team at News UK, as we embark on an exciting Workday implementation project. This role will support our transition from legacy SAP HCM to Workday. In this 12-month hybrid project role, based at our Peterborough office with occasional travel to London, you will participate in data cleansing, mapping, and validation efforts to ensure a seamless system migration. You will collaborate closely with People Operations and the Payroll team, HRBPs/Coordinators, Subject Matter Experts/COEs and other key stakeholders.

Day to day you will:

  • Clean and audit legacy SAP HCM data before extraction
  • Map data fields from SAP HCM into Workday templates and workbooks
  • Document legacy reporting logic for Workday and build custom reports
  • Validate data loads during cutover cycles and resolve defects
  • Generate business case scenarios and test cases
  • Build custom reports and data visualizations using Workday and Tableau

  • Ensure strict data privacy compliance during extraction phases.

Requirements

  • Functional or operational knowledge of SAP HCM (PA, OM, Time, ESS/MSS)

  • Hands-on experience with SAP Ad-Hoc Query
  • Excel capabilities (VLOOKUPs, Pivot Tables) and Google Suite (Sheets, Docs, Slides)
  • Direct involvement in a large-scale HRIS data migration
  • Good understanding of GDPR and compliance audit
  • Exposure to Workday or similar SaaS solutions and project tools such as Jira
  • Exposure to data visualisation tools such as Tableau or Power BI
