If you’re a Platform Software Engineer who enjoys building reliable infrastructure, improving developer workflows, and working in technically challenging environments, this could be the role for you. A Cambridge-based deep-tech company is looking for a Platform Engineer to join its world-class engineering team. You’ll help build and maintain the internal platforms and systems that enable engineers to develop, test and release cutting-edge software used by leading technology organisations. The team is highly skilled, collaborative and focused on building technically complex products used in demanding development environments. What you’ll do
- Maintain CI systems, artifact repositories and delivery platforms
- Implement monitoring and observability tools
- Build machine, container and development images
- Maintain internal toolchains and infrastructure
- Collaborate with engineers and stakeholders
Requirements
- 2-5 years’ experience in Platform, DevOps or Software Engineer / Linux roles
- Strong Python development on Linux
- Experience with Terraform, Ansible or similar
- Experience maintaining CI/CD pipelines (e.g. Jenkins)
- Familiar with Git workflows and modern development practices
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
Nice to have
- Experience with AWS or other cloud platforms
- Knowledge of networking or distributed systems
- Familiarity with C / C++ toolchains
