Training and Technical Assistance Coordinator

Under the supervision of the Director of Programs, the Training and Technical Assistance Coordinator is responsible for the coordination and delivery of all training events, client coordination through the Center of Excellence and technical assistance provided in connection with training. The coordinator will also supervise the Child Development Consultant in implementing training, technical assistance, and consultations in accordance with programing. At times night and weekend work may be necessary due to scheduled trainings., * Recruit, engage and manage child care programs and individuals to participate in training, technical assistance and projects

• Oversee the Child Development Consultant, which includes training, supervising, and evaluating
• Assist in evaluating the effectiveness of technical assistance and training programs through tracking program metrics
• Assist in training staff in developing and implementing quality enhancement plans
• Coordinate, develop and implement trainings for child care providers that meet the needs of beginning, intermediate and advanced providers who work in a variety of child care settings
• Knowledge of online learning platforms (e.g., Canvas, Quorum)
• Maintain all program data and documentation
• Compile and submit accurate reports in a timely manner and in compliance with contract stipulations
• Participate actively in professional organizations related to child care
• Keep abreast of current literature related to child development, child care and on-site technical assistance
• Adhere to IACET’s Continuing Education and Training Standards for all training
• Provide quality customer service to all internal and external customers of the agency
• Follow agency procedures to assure reporting of suspected child abuse and/or neglect
• Follow agency procedures in reporting any suspected licensing deficiencies observed at child care programs
• React productively to change and handle all other work-related responsibilities as assigned

Do you have experience in Supervising experience?, Do you have a Master’s degree?, * Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Child Development, Early Childhood Education, or Human Development and Family Studies with a concentration in Child Development

• Minimum: three-year supervision/management experience and five years’ experience working directly with children and families
• Prefer: Project and program planning and management experience and experience with children ages birth through age 13 including children with special needs, families and adult learners
• Prefer: Knowledge of online training platforms
• Knowledge of training techniques for adult learners and the different types of child care programs and the staff who work in them
• Excellent interpersonal communication and organizational skills
• Working knowledge of Alabama Child Care Licensing Requirements
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Publisher, PowerPoint, Outlook, Access)
