Job description

  • Coaching, mentoring, and upskilling team members, building capability and succession within the IT function.
  • Owning the delivery, quality, and continuous improvement of IT support services across internal and external customers.
  • Acting as the primary escalation point for complex, high-impact, or business-critical IT issues.
  • Leading the design, documentation, and enforcement of IT support processes, policies, and best practices.
  • Attend customer sites where required for critical incidents, project delivery, customer support or audits.
  • Diagnosing and providing support to customers on computer system problems, including debugging, correcting, repairing, servicing, examining, installing, training, and troubleshooting computer hardware, printers, and other peripherals.
  • Going above and beyond with service to wow everyone.
  • Finding solutions to issues with persistence and optimism.
  • Establish, own, and enforce IT processes, procedures and training materials, standards that optimise performance, reduce risk, and support business growth internally and externally.
  • Own the development, standardisation, and deployment of technology images and configurations used to support training, operational, and instructional environments.
  • Lead the evaluation, deployment, and standardisation of presentation and collaboration technologies to support business and training needs.
  • Lead IT asset management, maintaining full visibility of asset location, lifecycle status, maintenance, and configuration to support operational decision making.
  • Own the ongoing assessment of IT environments, identifying risks, improvement opportunities, and technology enhancements aligned to business needs.
  • Gather, research, and communicate recommendations and pricing on computer hardware and software and present solutions and ideas to the COO and CEO.
  • Ensure server environments are secure, resilient, and well-maintained, with appropriate monitoring, backup, and incident response in place.
  • Representing and promoting the Company’s IT services, using comprehensive knowledge to explain how our solutions meet customer needs.
  • Achieving or exceeding individual targets set by your Line Manager/the Company on a monthly basis.
  • Supporting the Tech team by being part of the hunt group for calls and assistance.
  • Communicating effectively through the use of the internal and external platforms.
  • Meeting or exceeding Company KPI’s consistently .
  • Learning, using and sharing good knowledge with other team members and exploring innovative ideas.
  • Accountable for the successful onboarding, inclusion, and development of new IT team members.
  • Delivering and completing training when required with internal and external customers.
  • Ensuring working practices are compliant with equality, diversity and inclusion, fire safety and health and safety.
  • Escalating without delay any concerns professionally to HR or the COO.
  • Ensuring working in line with all Yo Telecom policies and procedures.
  • Maintaining the office area and your desk with a clean as you go approach and report concerns to HR.
  • Completing any other tasks which are reasonably requested by Senior Management.

Office hours (this is a fully office based role)

  • Monday - Thursday: 8:30am - 5:30pm
  • Friday: 8am - 5pm (Hitting targets also means early finishes and we’ll throw some treats your way to help you wind down for the weekend)
